Hey y'all!
So lots have been happening lately!
I recently turned 19 years old! And I couldn't be more happier that God has given me 19 years of life, and I can't wait to see how He uses me this next year!
We had the a Holy Ghost Weenie Roast at Lake Lincoln with BSU for Halloween, and it was a blast because we had an awesome speaker, worship, and a costume contest! I was in a group where we dressed up like Duck Dynasty! Our friend Maura actually won the contest dressed up as a farm girl!

There were many funny consumes there at the Holy Ghost Weenie Roast! It was such a fun night and it's awesome how you can have fun in a Christian way.
My family and I went up to Duck Commander in Louisiana just to take a trip and pick up some things there for Christmas and it was awesome there! We didn't see any of the Duck Dynasty Crew, but it was still fun. We also ate at Willi's Diner which opened maybe a month ago. Amazing food.
I had the awesome opportunity to speak at the BSU this past Monday! My church's youth group lead worship with 5 of my jr high small group girls, and we had two of the students lead a skit there at the BSU. I shared a little about my life and how God has used me in the mission field. It was mostly about my trip to Ukraine.
While I was preparing my presentation, I had so much on my mind about missions and people. Here is a little something I shared about Monday. (I included the Phillipines in there because as y'all should know, I plan on going this coming summer.)
((How can we call ourselves Christians if we aren't going out and making disciples? God commands us to go out and tell people about Him, but how are we doing that sitting at home? We are supposed to go out and share about Him, whether it's here in Wesson, Brookhaven, in the states or out of the country. There are people who get passed by everyday and never hear anything about Jesus. Can they even tell something is different about you? Or do they see you like the rest of the world?
So many people in other countries don't know anything about Jesus. Take the Philippines as an example. About 10,000 people were killed this weekend. How many of those people do you think really knew Jesus? All I could think about during these news updates about the Philippines, was the orphans that I want to go help and see. I look at kids around here I live close to, and they don't know anything about Jesus because their parents never taught them. Think of the orphans who don't have parents at all, and they are just sitting there wondering about their life and why they are even alive. They feel like no one wants them. That's why I want to go there so badly because they need someone to hold them and tell them that people do care about them and love them, but mainly there is one person who has and always will love them, and that's Jesus.
So I ask again, how can you call yourself a Christian, yet not go and share the love of Christ with others? He tells us to go, so go.))
So that's what I shared, and it's something that I challenge you to think about also! :)
So much more is happening in the next few weeks and I can't wait to share with y'all about that also!
Show Love. Be Love.
-Tonya, :)
But how can they call on Him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about Him? And how can they hear without a preacher? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who announce the gospel of good things! (Romans 10:14, 15 HCSB)
